Data
Updates
The data is updated always as soon as we receive informaiton that something has changed. Most data sources, such as YTJ, provide this information once per day.
Also individuals can request hiding their data. Those changes are reflected immediately. The API will return the information that a specific company is hidden.
Data mapping
We have some custom mapping for example "Sector". The sector is derived from the company type. The idea is to provide easier way to map different company types into categories.
Sector clarifications:

TOL Codes

Domains
Domains are retrieved from the Finnish Traficom Verkkotunnushaku service. In theory, anyone can register a domain, and claim that they bought it for a company. Therefore, the domain is not a reliable source for a domain belonging to a specific business, it just means that someone has registered a domain for that business.
Never assume that a person who uses a domain registered for a company is allowed to represent the company.
Establishment Date
The establishment date is the expected date around the companys first activity. Because this information is not available in the data sources, we determine it as the first date appearing in the YTJ data.
